An Army brat from many locations, COL Parker commissioned and graduated from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA in 1992. In 2002, CPT Parker was assigned to the U.S. Army Signal Center at Fort Gordon, GA as the Chief of the Network Planning Team and a TAC Officer for the Signal Officer Basic Course. In June of 2003, MAJ Parker was selected to form, lead, and deploy the Signal Center’s first Mobile Training Team in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Upon return, MAJ Parker served as the S3 of the 442d Signal Battalion until his assignment to Fort Drum, NY. In late 2004, MAJ Parker deployed with 2d Brigade, 10th Mountain Division as the Brigade S6 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After two years as the Brigade S6, MAJ Parker was assigned to the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, LA as the Senior Signal Observer Controller. In 2008, after 18 rotations, MAJ Parker was assigned to SETAF in Caserma Ederle, Italy as the Deputy G6 for two years. In July 2010, LTC Parker became the G6 of the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, HI. He deployed with the Division in support of the conclusion of Operation New Dawn and led the effort to close all tactical communications in Iraq. From Augusta 2012 to June 2013, LTC Parker served as the Aide-de-Camp for General Dennis Via, Commander of Army Material Command, Redstone Arsenal, AL. After attending the U.S. Army War College, COL Parker served as the U.S. Army Africa G6 in Vicenza, Italy for three years. COL Parker currently serves as the TCM for Networks and Services. COL Parker is a veteran of Operations Uphold Democracy, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, New Dawn, and United Assistance. COL Parker holds a Bachelors of Business Administration, a Master’s of Science in Information Technology, and a Master’s of Strategic Studies.
