Mark Kemp is currently the Director of Information Technology for Riesbeck Food Markets, Inc. After graduating from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Mark began his career as a software engineer in the defense contracting field. He worked on various projects for the U.S. Navy, as well as the Canadian government. Wanting to move back to his hometown area to raise a family, Mark left the defense industry and began working as a project manager for a steel company. He oversaw the development of systems that would help automate the production of steel coils on the various processing units throughout the company. Over 20 years ago, Mark jumped at the opportunity to become the IT Director at a regional independent grocer. While at Riesbeck’s, Mark has overseen many IT projects, including network infrastructure upgrades, POS upgrades, scale management, item and price hosting, as well as online grocery ordering and delivery. Mark has three sons, Matthew, Michael, and David. He lives in Steubenville, OH with his wife Renee.
