Dr. Rebecca Holder is an internal medicine specialist with a love for her community and a passion for hospice and palliative care. A Colorado native, Dr. Holder completed her undergraduate degree at Colorado State University-Pueblo, received a Master’s of Science in International Health from Touro University and went to medical school at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. Exposed to the hospice/palliative philosophy as a medical student, she continued to maintain involvement with hospice and palliative care throughout her residency and while practicing as a primary care provider. She considers it a privilege to provide care to patients and their families during what can be the most frightening and uncertain time in their lives. She enjoys the team management approach that hospice care allows for, taking into account not only symptom management but also the emotional, spiritual and psychosocial aspects of patient care. In her free time, she provides medical care in Haiti and enjoys just about any outdoor activity.
