COL Thomas is the Director of Operations, J3, Joint Force Headquarters – DoD Information Networks (JFHQ-DODIN). Prior to this assignment, he served as the Commander, White House Communications Agency. From July 2013- July 2015, COL Thomas commanded the 516th Signal Brigade, at Fort Shafter, Hawaii. Previously he was assigned as the Signal Corps Branch Chief, Human Resources Command at Fort Knox, Kentucky. From July 2008 to June 2010, COL Thomas was the Commander of 78th Signal Battalion, in Camp Zama, Japan. Prior to this, he was assigned to the National Military Command Center (NMCC) at Defense Information Systems Agency, Joint Staff Support Center (JSSC), Serving first as the Senior Communications Watch Officer and then as JSSC, JC4 Division Chief, responsible for the 24x7 operations of the NMCC. A native of Bessemer, Alabama, COL Thomas received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee University and a Master’s Degree in Administrative Management from Central Michigan University. He is a graduate of National Defense University, Dwight D. Eisenhower School of National Security and Resource Strategy in Washington, D.C. with a Master of Science degree in National Resource Strategy and a concentration in Cyber Security Leadership. COL Thomas is married to Maloria of Port Arthur, TX. They have three children.
