Andrew Smallwood is the leader of the Cyber Futures Human Capital Team within Booz Allen Hamilton’s Strategic Innovations Group. Mr. Smallwood has been involved with significant cyber workforce related efforts including helping develop and refine the National Cyberspace Workforce Framework as part of the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education. He also led the support team helping to implement this framework within the Department of Defense. He works with both U.S. Government and commercial fortune 500 clients. He was a primary author of the Booz Allen and Partnership for Public Service report Cyber Insecurity II, Closing the Federal Talent Gap. Mr. Smallwood is a former U.S. Army Officer and has lead teams across the spectrum of cyber operations from critical infrastructure protection to computer emergency response. He holds a B.A. from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln and a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity Policy from the University of Maryland University College, as well as certifications in Human Capital Strategy, and Compensation. His is also a Certified Information System Security Professional.
