Biography: Biography for Staci Welsh, CVT, LVT, CVPM:
Staci has been integrally involved in veterinary medicine for over 25 years; getting her start in shelter medicine and then progressing to a long career as a veterinary technician and practice manager (or just about any role that was needed at the time!) Looking for new opportunities within the veterinary profession, Staci first joined Petplan in 2009 as a licensed claims adjuster and now currently manages the veterinary outreach program; notably through in-clinic consultations, live staff training webinars and speaking at conferences. Staci is passionate about educating pet owners on the importance of pet insurance, reducing compassion fatigue within the veterinary profession and ending economic euthanasia. She is an active member of NAVTA, NJVTA, PVMA, VHMA and is on the advisory board for PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society). In her spare time, Staci enjoys spending time with her family and her rescued pets! She is a pet parent to roxy (11 year old black lab mix), jaxon (5 year old golden lab mix), riley (17 year old maine coon) and ivy (4 yr old dsh)
