Ms. Tania Wilkes is the Chief of the Implementation and Sustainment Line of Business for the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) Computing Ecosystem. As Chief Ms. Wilkes is responsible for managing the implementation and sustainment of all mission partner workloads to full operational capability using a standard infrastructure that provides information superiority to our mission partners. Prior to assuming this position in January of 2017, Ms. Wilkes was the Director for the Defense Enterprise Computing Center – (DECC) Montgomery. As Director Ms. Wilkes was responsible and accountable for all DISA personnel in Montgomery, and the operations, protection/cyber defense and management of IT processes and computing services provided by DECC Montgomery. Tania previously served as the Chief for the SATCOM/Gateway Operations Division (OP6), DISA, where she directed operations of the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) constellation and the associated Enterprise SATCOM Gateways supporting deployed Warfighters globally. In 2013, she served as the acting Deputy Principal Director of Operations for DISA, providing oversight and directing staff actions across the Directorate in support of the Principal Director and Vice Director of Operations to ensure the Directorate’s ability to provide effective global command and control for an organization of more than 3,000 personnel located at 32 sites in 11 countries. Her duties included coordinating, synchronizing, and directing the delivery and operation of agency enterprise information capabilities. In 2011, Ms. Wilkes was selected for duty in Afghanistan serving as a Senior Telecommunications Advisor on DISA’s Afghanistan Telecommunications Advisory Team.
