Robert (Bob) I. Torres is Chief, Server Line of Business within the Defense Information Systems Agency Ecosystem; one of eight Lines of Businesses (LOB). He is responsible for delivering a reliable standardized server computing environment through the implementation and sustainment of the operating systems and associated enterprise management tools within DISA’s inventory. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Torres served as the Deputy, Data Center LOB and previous to this position he was the Branch Chief for the Services Delivery Division. Mr. Torres relocated from Oklahoma City in July 2013 to Denver, Colorado where he was promoted to GS-15. From September 1994 to July 2013, he In July 2013, he was promoted to his current grade of GS15 and vacated his position as the Deputy Director of the Defense Enterprise Computing Center (DECC) Oklahoma City, one of the four major computing centers within the DISA Computing Services Directorate (CSD). He began his federal career in the United States Air Force where he spent almost 10 years as a computer specialist. During this stint, Mr. Torres was instrumental in the deployment of numerous high-profile computer systems, most noticeably the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS). He deployed to Saudi Arabia in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. During his time in the Air Force, he was awarded the General Rawlings award for Innovated Uses of Computer Technology as well as numerous other awards. Mr. Torres holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland in Information System Management. He is married to Martha Jean and has four children and one grand-child.
