Chief Engineer, DECTK Gateway

Mr. Lenart C. Clark is the DECTK Gateway Chief Engineer in the Infrastructure Directorate, Communications Engineering Division, IE5. He is responsible for the design, development and implementation of Enterprise Gateway transport networks. He is also responsible for the integration of Internet Protocol (IP) based commercial Kit based end instrument solutions. Kit and Gateway transport solutions that enable DISA to provide senior level VIPs, Foreign Mission Partners, COCOMs and the Warfighter with global mobile access to SIPRNet and DISA’s Voice, Video and Data Services. Prior to his current role, Mr. Clark served as the Unified Capabilities (UC) Lead Engineer, responsible for the development, integration and implementation of IP based voice, data and video solutions for NS Engineering Services. Before joining DISA, Mr. Clark was a staff member for Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs, Trident II D5 Ballistic Missile Submarine Program, in the Office of the Chief Engineer. He supported the United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) Trident II D5 Accuracy Evaluation and System Coordination Programs as a lead engineer and liaison for the United Kingdom, Ministry Of Defense Office. He was responsible for the review, coordination and transfer of analysis data, complex software analysis tools/ aerospace technology and accuracy studies between the US and UK as part of the US/UK Sales Agreement (Foreign Military Sales)/Technical Arrangement. He was also responsible for accuracy evaluations and maintenance of submarine based, space launched weapons delivery systems. Mr. Clark also served as Senior Systems Engineer on the SEAWOLF Class Submarine Program at Northrop Grumman Newport News Shipbuilding Corp. He and his team’s contributions led to a new Military Standard and an operational test platform that was placed in service at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, Rhode Island.
