LT Allen is currently serving as the Lead Cyber Defense Force Planner at U.S. Cyber Command. Prior to this assignment, he served as Doctrine Department Head and Cyber Protection Team (CPT) Mission Planner. Previously, he was assigned to Fleet Cyber Command/C10F where he served as Battle Watch Captain and was selected for redesignation to Information Warfare, 1810. From May 2011 until July 2013, he was assigned to USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93). He served as Assistant Operations Officer, OT01 Division Officer, Information Warfare Officer and Electronic Warfare Officer. He also served as Officer of the Deck Underway and Combat Information Center Watch Officer. He also completed 2 Western Pacific deployments. Before this, LT Allen’s most recent previous experience includes: • Commissioned as an LDO in November 2007, he was assigned to Navy Information Operations Command Suitland in February 2008 where he served as N23 Division Officer and China Team Lead also earning his Information Warfare and Information Dominance designators. • Joint Composite Crew Squadron-1 in Al Hillah, Iraq as Field Site Lead and Electronic Warfare Operator. • Navy Information Operations Command Maryland in October 2005 serving as Intermediate Techelint Analyst “C” School leading instructor until Dec 2006. • Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron Two, Rota, Spain in October 2004 where he served as Electronic Warfare Department Leading Chief Petty Officer earning his Air Warfare Designator. LT Allen earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland in 2001 and a Master of Science Degree from the University of Maryland in 2011.
