Mr. Richard (Rick) Doering is the Chief of the Data Center Line of Business within the Computing Ecosystem, Services Directorate, Center for Operations in the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). In this capacity, he focuses on leading a geographically dispersed team of experts who provide hands on management of the DISA data center equipment, security and facilities world-wide. His responsibilities include the seven capacity services contracts used to support the Department of Defense, mission partner and infrastructure, and management of the Ecosystem Command and Control groups. Prior to his current position, Mr. Doering was the Chief of the Implementation Division, Services Directorate, Center for Operations in the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). In this capacity, he focused on leading a team of experts who designed, planned, delivered, and supported mission partner workloads in the DISA Defense Enterprise Computing Centers (DECCs) world-wide. His responsibilities included the capacity services contracts used to support the DISA requirements to deliver premier IT technology to the warfighter. Previously, Mr. Doering served as the Chief, Computing Infrastructure, Enterprise Information Services Directorate, DISA, where he was responsible for support all DECC infrastructure technologies and engineering. He also served as the Chief of Design and Engineering, Enterprise Services Directorate, DISA, where he was responsible for defining the architecture and technical direction for DECC infrastructure to support Enterprise Services and mission partner requirements. In this role, he led a major technical refresh and re-design of the DECC server and network infrastructure to enhance DISA’s capabilities. Mr. Doering has a Masters of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Denver.
