COL Brian Lyttle currently serves as the Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Cyber, and Deputy Director, Cyber Development, at the Defense Information System Agency. The organization is responsible for designing, developing and building the products operating and defending DoD’s Information Networks (DoDIN). The directorate oversees and manages key products including the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS), DoD Mobility, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Host Based Security Solutions (HBSS), and 40+ other products. These products enable the DoD to conduct enterprise level network operations and conduct defensive cyber operations from the perimeter to the endpoint, and interoperate with Federal and Coalition partners. COL Lyttle was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery in 1992 from the United States Military Academy at West Point. After graduation, COL Lyttle served in the 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, TX, as a Fire Direction Officer, Fire Support Officer, Platoon Leader/XO, and Battalion Maintenance Officer. After completing the Field Artillery Advanced Course, he commanded B/1-30th Field Artillery at Fort Sill, OK, and was responsible for training newly accessed Soldiers in Field Artillery Battery operations. COL Lyttle transitioned into the Army Acquisition Corps in 2001. As an acquisition officer, he has served in critical positions including Program Manager, Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J), DISA, and Product Manager, Strategic Battle Command, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. Additionally, he also served as Combat Developments Officer for Fires and Effects C2, Fort Sill, OK; Executive Officer, Net-Centric Enterprise Solutions (NCES), DISA; Assistant Program Manager, Adaptive Planning, and Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J), DISA; and, as a Personnel Officer, Deputy Chief of Staff G-1, HQDA, Pentagon.
