Todd Chase is an oil and gas industry expert on unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and has helped define industry best practices for the technology’s safety, efficiency and regulatory compliance. Todd came to Shell from Oceaneering where he helped build their UAS program supporting offshore UAS inspections globally. Todd was also one of the founding members of the Helicopter Safety Advisory Council’s (HSAC) UAS working group, where he worked with other major oil and gas stakeholders to evaluate, assess and issue recommended UAS procedures. Prior to Oceaneering, Todd served as an aviation advisor for BP, Chief of Safety at Ellington Field JRB in Houston Texas and was an Instructor Pilot in numerous aircraft during his twenty two year career with the Coast Guard and Air National Guard. Todd has a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and also completed graduate-level study programs at the USAF and University of Southern California.
