Tristan Worsey

Tristan Worsey is a drill and blast specialist for RESPEC and a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Kentucky. He has been a licensed blaster since 2009 and holds two blasting licenses in the state of Missouri and Kentucky.Tristan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in mining engineering and a Master of Science in explosives from the University of Missouri Rolla in 2010 and 2012 respectively. During his time at UMR, he had internships with the following companies: Olson Explosives Inc.; Barrick Goldstrike Underground; Barrick Cortez Underground; Luminant Martin Lake; and Newmont Carlin Surface. After graduation, Tristan ended up working for the Newmont Carline Surface Mine as a drill and blast engineer. In 2014, Tristan decided to go back to school and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Kentucky under Dr. Jhon Silva. Once the course work at the university was finished, he began working for RESPEC in 2015 and is currently working full time at RESPEC and working on his Ph.D. project on the side.
