The grandson of a Sailor and son of a Soldier, Rear Admiral White is from Spring, Texas, and a graduate of the United States Naval Academy (Annapolis, 1987), the Naval Postgraduate School (Monterey, 1993), and the National Defense University Industrial College of the Armed Forces (Washington, DC, 2008). In additional, his professional education includes the Naval War College, the Joint Forces Staff College, the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, and the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government. Rear Admiral White is also a Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI fellow. In his early career, Rear Admiral White served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the battleship USS Missouri (BB63) prior to entering the Navy's Information Warfare Community as a Cryptologist (now Cryptologic Warfare Officer). His Fleet cryptologist assignments included tours as the Assistant Cryptologist, COMUSNAVCENT / COMFIFTHFLT in Manama, Bahrain, and Assistant Chief of Staff for Information Operations, COMSEVENTHFLT, embarked in USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19), home-ported in Yokosuka, Japan. His joint duty assignments include the United States Strategic Command / JFCC-NW and United States Cyber Command. Rear Admiral White commanded the Naval Security Group Activity Bahrain (1999-2001) and Navy Information Operations Command Maryland (2011-2013). Selected for Flag in 2012, his subsequent assignments include the National Security Agency and United States Pacific Command as Director for Intelligence (J2). He currently serves as the Commander of Cyber National Mission Force (CNMF). He has served in several conflict zones and has been awarded various individual, unit, campaign, and service awards. He and his wife Rebecca have three extraordinary children.
