Kathy Bray is Corporate Counsel with SFM Mutual Insurance Company, providing management oversight of SFM’s Medical Services team, while also representing SFM and its policyholders in workers’ compensation proceedings as staff counsel through Lynn, Scharfenberg & Hollick. Before joining SFM, she spent over 15 years in private practice, advising employers in workers’ compensation and employment matters, including disputes that involved ADA, FMLA, and other discrimination litigation. She is a mediator and arbitrator for Minnesota’s Union Construction Workers' Compensation Program (UCWCP), and a frequent speaker at continuing legal education programs and related industry meetings. {She is a contributor and co-author of one of the chapters to Minnesota Continuing Legal Education’s “Workers’ Compensation Deskbook” which is widely recognized as an authoritative secondary source on Minnesota workers’ compensation law.} Kathy graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1991. She lives and works out of an office in Duluth, Minnesota.
