Monica Paige Band, M.A., CRC, NCC is a second year doctoral student, studying Counselor Education and Supervision, at Marymount University (MU) in Arlington, VA. In addition to her doctoral student responsibilities, Ms. Band is an Adjunct Professor at MU’s Psychology Department and a Graduate Assistant in their Counseling Department. Ms. Band continues to provide mental health services to adults with severe mental health diagnoses through Arlington County VA’s Behavioral Healthcare Division. Ms. Band provides leadership and advocacy work through participating on state division boards and MU’s CSI chapter. Ms. Band’s general research interests include addressing multicultural issues, particularly spiritual needs of those who work in the field of trauma.
