Dr. Jeffrey Saffle is a Paradigm Medical Director specializing in burn surgery and rehabilitation. He joined the faculty of University of Utah in 1982 and served as director of the Burn-Trauma Intensive Care Unit from 1985 to 2012, and as director of the Department of Telemedicine from 2012 to 2013. He is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. He is past president of the American Burn Association and the Southwestern Surgical Congress. He has also served as chairman of the American Burn Association’s Multicenter Trials Group and currently serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the Shriners Hospitals of North America. Dr. Saffle has published over 140 articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as a number of book chapters and numerous abstracts. He was the recipient of the University of Utah Distinguished Teaching Award in 2000, as well as the American Burn Association Harvey Stuart Allen Award in 2012.
