John Walier leads Black & Veatch’s business development efforts for utility telecom and automation projects in the Northeast, working closely with utilities to develop a partnership for optimization of their grid. These projects range from the operations control center to the intelligent grid devices installed in the field to provide end-to-end implementation and integration services for all technology and network applications. The applications include but are not limited to; Substation Automation, Distribution Automation Volt/VAR optimization, Sensor Integration, Physical/Cyber Security, DER, and AMI applications which are integrated into Distributed Management Systems through a Field Area Network.
