RWJBarnabas Health
Caryl Russo serves as the Senior Vice President for RWJBarnabas Health Corporate Care, a division of RWJBarnabas Health, the largest healthcare system in New Jersey. As the Senior Vice President for RWJBarnabas Health Corporate Care, Ms. Russo is responsible for the workers’ compensation program and the Employee Health Services for RWJBarnabas Health and its nearly 40,000 employees. Under her tenure, the program has experienced significant reduction in workers’ compensation expense while improving the health and safety of the RWJBarnabas Health workforce. In this capacity, Ms. Russo is also responsible for the occupational medicine services offered through RWJBarnabas Health Corporate Care in seven sites located throughout New Jersey including Toms River, Lakewood, Long Branch, Belleville, Jersey City, Rahway and Livingston. Under Ms. Russo’s leadership, opportunities for increased alignment between RWJBarnabas Health and large, mid- and small employers located throughout the state of New Jersey are continuously identified. Ms. Russo holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Kennedy-Western University, a Master’s of Science degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the Pennsylvania State University. She is active with numerous business and civic organizations including the New Jersey Self Insured Association and the Monmouth-Ocean Development Council and serves as a member of the Penn State Biotechnology Advisory Board, the Delta Dental Foundation Board of Directors and the Arthritis Foundation, New Jersey Chapter Board of Directors.
