Jonathan Dillon is a senior field applications engineer supporting Microchip Technology’s diverse range of microcontroller, mixed-signal and wireless products. Prior to this role, he was principal marketing manager with Microchip’s Memory Products Division where he released timing products and memory devices as well as performing promotional activities. In addition, he developed application notes and training materials for 8-bit PIC® microcontrollers as a senior applications engineer with Microchip’s Security, Microcontroller & Technology Development Division. Jonathan also worked for several years in corporate applications engineering at Microchip, where he analyzed issues with customer hardware designs and debugged software problems. Before joining Microchip, Jonathan worked as a hardware engineer developing chipsets for modulation systems for digital video-broadcast transmitters for a small consulting firm. Additionally, he worked for Altera Corporation as an IP developer for DSP system building blocks for FPGA’s, and he developed DSP designs, and system-development tools for the defense industry. Jonathan graduated from University of Reading in England in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cybernetics and Control Engineering. He has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University and is based in San Jose, California.
