Ulyssix Technologies

Glenn Rosenthal is the Founder, President and CEO of Ulyssix Technologies, Inc. located in Frederick, Maryland. Glenn’s technical expertise is in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) with emphasis on VHDL development of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) for modulation/demodulation algorithm development, Decimation, FIR filtering and direct digital synthesis. For 30 years, Glenn has been supporting the telemetry market and is recognized as a subject matter expert (SME) in telemetry by both NASA and Department of Defense (DoD). Glenn graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1981 with dual degrees in Electrical Engineering and Administrative Management. He started his career at Texas Instruments and then in 1988, Glenn joined Metraplex Corporation as a senior engineer for DSP hardware and software development. Glenn was tasked in 1989 to create the first DSP based FM demodulator for the telemetry community where he created 4 custom integrated circuits to implement the algorithms in real time. He took over as Vice President of Engineering in 1992 and in 1995 became the CEO/President of Metraplex. Metraplex was sold to Herley Industries in 1997. In 1999, Glenn went to SBS Technologies to lead the design effort to redesign SBS’s telemetry products using DSP algorithms. In 2000, Glenn and Dawn, his wife, started Ulyssix Technologies, Inc. to create a company with total emphasis of supporting the telemetry customer without the plans of acquisition or going public. In 2005, he started working with NASA Kennedy Space Center on the return to flight program after the Columbia accident, where he created new state-of-the-art telemetry designs matched with the newest software suite. In 2014, Glenn and Dawn created the Defense and Aerospace Test & Telemetry (DATT) Summit, aiming to change the paradigm of technical conferences by creating a training, education and networking Summit for the test and telemetry market.
