Greg Deeds is the founder and CEO of Technology Exploration Group, Inc., an innovative and award winning rapid prototyping and software company. Greg has been programming computers since age 7, and has been a remote pilot for more than 30 years. Greg is a renowned futurist, and a multi-certified, internationally recognized thought leader who enjoys speaking on topics ranging from software architecture to cyber and very big data. In 2016, Greg was elected as the President and Chairman of Silicon Valley AUVSI, the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International located in the heart of Silicon Valley. Under Greg’s leadership, Silicon Valley AUVSI has won awards and celebrated numerous accolades, emerging as a leader and influencer in the world of autonomous systems. Currently, Greg is in his third term as Chairman and President of Silicon Valley AUVSI. Greg and his ICAO and ASTM teammates are writing the standards for remote id, trust framework, and BVLOS for unmanned traffic management (or UTM). The FAA / Industry group Unmanned Aircraft Safety Team (UAST) is a vital organization focused on safety and comprised of the biggest companies on the planet, including Uber, Google, Amazon and Boeing. Greg has acted as the groups technical lead since 2017, while also acting as vice-chair of the Loss of Control Working Group throughout the development of the groups safety enhancements. Greg was appointed to the UAST steering committee in late 2018, and just this year was appointed to lead the UAST Communications Working Group, one of 4 working group leads.
