Mr. Webb served in the United States Marine Corps from February 1964 to February 1968 obtaining the rank of Sergeant (E-5). His MOS was 2831 and 2861. After attending many schools, his first deployment was with 1st Battalion 6th Marines Regiment, Second Marine Division with offshore assignments, Feb 1966. In Aug 1966, his second deployment was I Corps in South Vietnam serving with the 5th Communication Battalion with the Third Marine Amphibious Force (III MAF). After returning from Vietnam, Sgt. Webb was assigned to the 8th Communication Battalion, 2nd Marine Division until separation. Mr. Webb was hired by Mc Donnell-Douglas and retired from The Boeing Company after 42 plus years working military programs as Chief Scientist, Technology for Fighter Aircraft Avionics in the advanced new product development group in St. Louis Missouri. He worked with Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology, working designs for Air Force, Navy (Marine Corps) and Army Executive Agents and the Secretary of the Air Force International Affairs in the Pentagon. He also worked with the Secretary of the Air Force Acquisition (SAF/AQ) who are responsible for capability areas such as information technology, command and control, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems. After retirement in Nov 2010, he started his own consulting company, W - Cube Associates, LLC and works as a Consultant. He mentors engineering design teams and reviews programs for compliance and verification of system requirements for mission operational capability for US Forces. He is currently National Commandant of the Marine Corps League and a Pedigree Devil Dog. Worked through the chairs at the Detachment, Department, Division and National levels. His goal is to get our newest generation of Marine Warriors into the Marine Corps League by mentoring and addressing the various problems from multi-deployments.
