Supervisory Assistant Chief Clarence Catchings is the National Asset Forfeiture Officer for the U.S. Border Patrol Asset Forfeiture Department. This duty includes oversight of the legal, policy and training compliance of the facilities and personnel of the Border Patrol’s 20 Sector Asset Forfeiture Offices. He also, along with his OFO counterpart represents CBP interests via programmatic liaison responsibilities with Homeland Security Investigations, the Treasury Executive Office for Asset Forfeiture, and the Department of Justice Forfeiture Group among others. SAC Catchings began his Border Patrol Career in 2009 in Laredo, Texas as part of Class 898. He promoted to supervisor in 2014 to the McAllen Station in the Rio Grande Valley, TX. After serving as an Operations Officer, SAC Catchings was assigned to HQ, Washington, D.C. where he has held several positions in Intel and Finance. Prior to the Border Patrol, SAC Catchings served as an active-duty Officer of Armor in the United States Army. Additionally, he served as a Senior Finance Manager for the Sprint Corporation, where he was responsible for contract negotiation and pricing program development for the U.S. Government and public safety markets for the entirety of the United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. He holds a master’s degree in Public Safety Leadership from Capella University.
