Monique Fields currently serves as IRS-CI’s Treasury Executive Office for Asset Forfeiture (TEOAF) Liaison and is assigned to a Headquarters’ Section of Asset Recovery & Investigative Services (ARIS). As TEOAF Liaison, she provides oversight and guidance on the agency’s money laundering and asset forfeiture program including matters related to CI’s seizures and forfeitures. Prior to arriving at HQ-ARIS, her IRS-CI career included conducting and overseeing a plethora of legal and illegal source tax and non-tax criminal investigations including abusive tax schemes, money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) violations, and terrorism financing in the Atlanta, Cincinnati, Seattle, and Washington DC Field Offices. These investigations involved a myriad of industries and areas of tax non-compliance, money laundering, and asset forfeiture. In addition to serving in IRS-CI for two decades, she worked as a researcher on taxpayer compliance in IRS’ Wage and Investment (W&I) Division headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Monique Fields completed her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University, master’s degree in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Central University, and doctoral coursework in Criminal Justice at Michigan State University.
