Luke Sheppard began his career with the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service in 2007 and has over 15 years of experience working in the government-wide accounting arena. Luke has helped to stand up and modernize accounting systems for Fiscal Service to be used by the government-wide reporting entities including the Governmentwide Treasury Account System Adjusted Trial Balance System (GTAS), FACTS II, and FACTS I. Luke then went on to serve as the General Fund Accounting Branch Manager for three years. In that capacity Luke worked to establish a cohesive reporting model for the General Fund that will accurately portray the Generals Fund’s financial position and achieve favorable audit results. Luke currently is Financial Reports Division Director. In this role, Luke is working to remediate all outstanding audit findings on the Financial Report and push Financial Reporting forward by leveraging new and innovative reporting methodologies and using emerging technologies responsibly to do so.
