Ryan Schaedig serves as the Deputy Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Digital Payment Solutions at the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service. Mr. Schaedig provides executive leadership for the government’s digital payment initiatives, overseeing the strategy, development, and delivery of modern payment capabilities that support the collection of nearly $6 trillion in federal revenue each year (e.g., taxes, fees, fines, loan repayments, customs duties, donations). His organization enables the processing of approximately 500 million transactions annually. He leads efforts to advance payment technologies, improve user experience, and enhance the security and efficiency of digital payment solutions across the federal government. Mr. Schaedig has over 15 years of experience leading large-scale government programs, including more than 13 years at the Bureau of the Fiscal Service. He has also served in an executive capacity with responsibility for enterprise IT, providing strategic leadership over technology infrastructure, systems, and digital services at scale. His work has focused on driving innovation, operational excellence, and digital transformation within federal financial systems. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and a master’s degree in Technology Management from George Mason University.
