Joe Avila is the founder of Huggins Wood Floor Specialist, a nationally recognized company serving luxury homeowners, architects, and designers. With nearly 30 years of experience, Joe is active with the NWFA Continuing Education Program and leads CEU courses for the AIA and ASID. He has been featured on HGTV, DIY Network, NBC, CBS, and shows like Man Caves, George to the Rescue, and Rev Run Renovation. Joe has worked on high-profile projects including the Brooklyn Museum, the 9/11 Memorial, and 1 Wall Street, and has consulted for Microsoft, Disney, and the NFL. His residential work includes clients like the Forbes family and members of the Aston Martin family. Joe imports rare wood from mills across Europe, Africa, and beyond. Known for solving complex flooring challenges, he continues to shape flooring systems for some of the most exclusive properties in New York City and across the U.S.
