Liz Jiménez is a Senior Analyst within the U.S. Government Accountability Office’s (GAO) Natural Resources and Environment (NRE) team. Since joining NRE in 2017, she has led reviews on a diverse portfolio of federal lands and tribal issues, including wildfire management, hardrock mining, recreational boating, and tribal water infrastructure. Ms. Jiménez joined the GAO in 2008, initially focusing on financial markets. During the Great Recession, she contributed to a significant body of work regarding financial regulations and federal oversight. Her public service is preceded by four years of experience in corporate finance in New York City. She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of California, San Diego, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Pennsylvania State University.
