Safari Club International

Madeline “Madie” Demaske was born and raised in the foothills of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. Drawing her first sheep tag at fourteen sparked a lifelong dedication to international mountain hunting and wildlife conservation, ultimately shaping her legal career. While earning her J.D. from the University of Kansas, she worked for the Wild Sheep Foundation, where she dedicated her time to the Central Asian Argali Initiative and the 7th World Mountain Ungulate Conference. After passing the bar, Madie joined Safari Club International as litigation associate. When she finds the time, she plugs herself into varying conservation efforts, like attending the 19th CITES Convention, chairing the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society’s annual fundraiser, and mentoring young attorneys who want to get into hunting, wildlife, and conservation law. Closest to her heart is getting women involved in hunting and conservation. Madie has hunted mountain game around the world and is the youngest recipient of the Wild Sheep Foundation’s Artemis Outstanding Woman Conservationist Award.
