Donna Boddington
Donna Boddington was born in Massachusetts and moved to California with her parents, two brothers, and three sisters when she was in grade school. She attended San Diego State University and studied logistics management. Although a lifelong shooter with deep fascination for wildlife, she didn’t start hunting until she was in her 40s. As a young adult and single mother, she was busy working and raising her son. Since then she has made up for lost time. Donna has hunted all the continents (except Antarctica). Her hunting accomplishments include the African Big Five, and she has taken three of the four North American wild sheep and an Altai argali. Although she worries that the mountains are starting to get steeper, she loves mountain hunts most of all and has done three backpack sheep hunts in Alaska and northern Canada. Her most recent adventure was a solo hunt in Turkey for a Bezoar ibex. She has taken game with a wide variety of rifles and cartridges up to .450 Nitro Express, but her “go-to” favorite for mountain hunts is a light MGA in .270 Winchester, just 5.7 pounds with 3.5-10X Leupold. She keeps sheep-shape by hiking, walking the dog, and practicing Pilates and Yoga. She and husband Craig have three grown children, and she’s having a ball being grandmother to five grand-children.
