Lindsay Smith

Dr. Lindsay Smith was named director of Special Services in the spring of 2021 and executive director of Special Services in 2023. Smith previously served as principal at Moore Elementary School (2013-2021), as assistant principal at Jarman Elementary (2012-2013) and as administrative intern at McAuliffe Elementary (2011-2012). Smith has taught second and third grade at Rosa Parks Elementary. She also worked for San Miguel Middle School of Tulsa. Additionally, Smith has worked for Teach For America in New York City as a recruitment associate and in Houston, Texas, where she served as a fifth-grade teacher. Smith earned a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Oklahoma. Also, Smith earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona where she majored in political science and earned a double minor in Spanish and Africana Studies. Smith received her doctoral degree from the University of Oklahoma.
