Tina is in her 11th year as a Director of Exceptional Student Services. Tina believes in giving back to the field of education and has been an active member/volunteer in professional organizations for over 12 years. Through AZCASE she is part of the original creating, planning, and implementational team for the Special Education Directors Academy (SEDA), which has had over 200 participants in the last 7 school years. Tina has a passion for leading and supporting organizations to develop future leaders in Arizona. Prior to being a director, she was a High School Education Coordinator, a Transition Coordinator, and a Special Education Teacher in High School and Elementary. She took the non-traditional path to education and had children, got married and then began her post-secondary education, earning her bachelor’s in special education from The University of Nevada Las Vegas, Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and an Educational Leadership program were both from University of Phoenix. Tina is honored to be the AZCASE President 2023-25, the 2024 AZCASE Laura Ganong awardee, and the National CASE 2024 Outstanding Special Education Administrator awardee.
