Marshfield R-1 School District

Sherry Davis is the Director of Special Programs for Marshfield School District, where she oversees special education, Section 504 coordination, homebound services, counselors, and serves as the Federal Programs Assistant. With more than 25 years of experience in education, she is dedicated to supporting students, families, and staff through strong leadership and innovative programming. Sherry began her career as a special education teacher, serving for 14 years before moving into the role of Process Coordinator, which she held for nine years. Now in her third year as Director of Special Programs, she continues to champion student success, particularly in the area of transition. She is passionate about preparing students for life after high school and has expanded the district’s junior high and high school transition programs to provide more community-based experiences. Her leadership extends beyond the district. Sherry served as a Transition Liaison for the state of Missouri for four years and was selected to be part of the inaugural cohort of the Special Education Leadership Institute for 2024–25. Outside of education, Sherry has been deeply involved in her community. She has volunteered as a scout leader for 18 years and, for the past 12 summers, has trained staff at Philmont Scout Ranch in team building. She and her husband are proud parents of three sons, all of whom have earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
