Lesley Michaels
3rd-5th Grade Instructional Coach
Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School
Lesley Michaels attended Cortland College in New York where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She also has a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. Lesley has worked in education for twenty-six years, and is an experienced instructional coach with a strong focus on collaboration and professional development. Throughout her time as a coach, she has worked closely with the exceptional students coordinator to ensure inclusive and effective co-teaching teaching practices. Lesley is skilled in leading coaching cycles that support teachers in enhancing their instructional strategies, fostering growth, and improving student outcomes. Building meaningful relationships with educators is a cornerstone of her approach, creating a positive and supportive environment for continuous learning and development within the school community. Ms. Michaels’ has spent much of her life working with children. From her babysitting days, to her time as a camp counselor, to work as a substitute teacher and classroom teacher, Ms. Michaels has enjoyed all of her time instructing and having an impact on kids’ lives. Ms. Michaels grew up in Syracuse, New York. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cheering on the Syracuse University basketball team, riding her bike, practicing yoga and attempting to surf.
