Melissa Lummis serves as the Supervisor of Specialized Teaching and Learning and Assistive Technology for the Cobb County School District. She has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to the field, most recently receiving the Spotlight Leader of the Year award. Melissa is currently in the final semester of her doctoral program, where she is focusing on specially designed instruction. Her leadership extends across multiple professional development initiatives, including the Cobb County Leadership Academy for Prospective Administrators, Cobb Education Consortium, Teacher Leader Academy (Supervisor), and the Cobb County Teacher Academy (Instructor). Melissa remains deeply committed to supporting educators and stakeholders through high-quality, inclusive practices that elevate co-teaching and specialized instruction. She has presented at the national, state, and local levels.
