Dr. Shayla Guidry Hilaire Dr. Shayla Guidry Hilaire serves as the Chief Student Support Officer for NOLA Public Schools, where she oversees various programs providing comprehensive support for diverse learners and their families. She also plays a key role in shaping special education policy decisions statewide as a member of the executive leadership team of the Louisiana Association of Special Education Administrators (LASEA) and previously as a member of the Louisiana Department of Education’s Special Education Advisory Panel. Dr. Hilaire received the Families Helping Families Champion Award in 2020 in recognition of her remarkable advocacy for children with disabilities and for effectively bridging the gap between the school system and the advocacy community.
