Chandra Battles is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in special education, school psychology, and mental health services. Currently serving as the Special Services Director and School Psychologist at Hilldale Public Schools in Muskogee, Oklahoma, she is committed to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments. With a career spanning over 25 years, Chandra has worked as a Special Education Teacher, School Psychologist, and Adjunct Instructor in Social Sciences at Connors State College. She specializes in psychological assessments, behavior intervention planning, and staff development, regularly presenting on topics such as special education processes, interventions, and mental health strategies. In addition to her work within school systems, Chandra works with Oklahoma School Advisory Council, where she provides professional development to educators across the state. She is also actively involved in mentorship, serving as a student and early career mentor in school psychology, as well as a board member of the Oklahoma School Psychological Association (2022-2023). Her passion for education extends to volunteer work, including leadership roles with Special Olympics Oklahoma. She holds multiple teaching certifications from the Oklahoma State Department of Education and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Rural Education. Chandra’s dedication to student success, educator support, and mental health advocacy continues to make a meaningful impact in the field of education.
