Jacquelyn Purser
Research Scientist and Doctoral Candidate
University of Oklahoma
Jacquelyn Purser is a special education teacher with 8 years’ experience in teaching students with extensive support needs and dyslexia intervention in Oklahoma and Texas. She received her alternative teaching certification in her mid 30s following a pivot from the business world. After a year of teaching general education, she earned her master’s in special education with Challenging Behaviors from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Educational Psychology department with a focus in Special Education and research scientist at the University of Oklahoma. Her research interests are students with extensive support needs, collaboration to include all students in general education, and coaching paraprofessionals in evidence-based practices to support positive student outcomes.
