Rebecca Walker

Pea Ridge School District
Rebecca Walker is a dedicated Special Education Administrator at Siloam Springs School District in Northwest Arkansas. Her career began in the field of deaf education, and she has since served as both a co-teacher and a teacher for students with extensive support needs. In these roles, Rebecca witnessed firsthand the transformative power of assistive technology, recognizing its ability to enhance student achievement and ensure equitable access to education for all learners. In addition to her work at Siloam Springs, Rebecca serves as the Chair of the Arkansas Advisory Council for the Education of Children with Disabilities, where she advocates for practices that support children with disabilities throughout the state. As a former president of the Arkansas Learning Disabilities Association, she led initiatives to raise awareness and provide essential resources for students with learning disabilities. Rebecca is passionate about supporting teachers and administrators in developing a deeper understanding of how to effectively meet the needs of students with disabilities. She is dedicated to helping educators gain the knowledge and tools necessary to provide meaningful access to education for every student.
