John Venneman is a Marine Risk Management Specialist with insurer Chubb. In this role he oversees the risk management of transported cargo insured by Chubb to include all methods of transportation and the risks that they present, as well as storage risks. John came to Chubb in 2017 after 20 years as an independent marine surveyor where he provided claims investigation as well as loss control services in the marine cargo space. John is a graduate of California Maritime Academy where he studied Intermodal Transportation and earned an Unlimited Third Mates license (any tonnage upon oceans), a graduate of Georgia State University where he studied Risk Management and earned an MBA, and recently completed his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation. John lives in Atlanta with his exceptional wife Krissy, and two pretty great dogs.
