Piet De Koninck (PDK Creations) started in the entertainment industry 30 years ago. In the beginning Piet concentrated on set design for television and big events . He started with “Eureka , the event of excellence”(Vangelis NL) and “Les nuits fatastiques du lotto”(FR). As Creative Director of Studio 100 ,he helped creating several well-known characters as Plop , Mega Mindy and many others . The award for best set design for the musical Pinocchio (2008) and the Musical Award for best creative performance for the musical Daens (2009) both went to Piet. Since he created Plopsaland, Piet takes as creative director care of the design and development of all the attractions, entertainment and staging for the Plopsagroup. The concept of indoor amusement parks, Plopsa Indoor Hasselt and Indoor Coevorden, the makeover of Holiday Park and Plopsa Coo are all thanks to his creation . In addition, he was also closely involved in the design of, amongst others, PandaVision in Efteling and the recent development of indoor waterparks Plopsaqua (De Panne and Landen-Hannuit) , The new Plopsa Hotel and the polish parks of the group.
