Dr Carol Jones, PE joined the Biosystems and Ag Engineering Department Faculty at Oklahoma State University in 2002 after a long career in production agriculture and materials handling design. The OSU alum recently retired from her full-time professorship to work as an instructor with OSU’s Fire Service Training Grain Entrapment Rescue program. She owns CL Jones Consulting LLC which provides grain handling and storage engineering, training and forensic services. Dr. Jones’ research and extension programs are known internationally. She is one of only a few university grain storage experts in the United States focused on methods to keep grain and seed in the best condition possible. She has lectured in the United States, the Middle East, China, Europe, South America and Canada. A self-described “farm girl from northwestern Oklahoma,” Jones is married to an engineer and their daughter and son-in-law are both engineers. She has two granddaughters/future engineers. Her hobbies include riding horses and Harleys, training therapy and service dogs and knitting.
