Shawn started his career with Kasa Companies working in their 100,000 sq. ft. metal fabrication facility – Kasa Fab. During his more than 20 years at Kasa Fab, Shawn worked in nearly every aspect of the facility including running sheers, press brakes, and in the paint shop. Due to his skill with equipment and people he moved into maintenance, followed by Plant Supervision and Maintenance Manager for two Kasa facilities. He oversaw moves to a new location including installation, placement, setup and testing of 15 major pieces of equipment. He’s helped to implement lean principals including a complete floorspace redesign. In 2018, Shawn took the role of Kasa Fab Sales Representative. He managed more than 40 customer accounts and sought out new customers. During this time, Shawn oversaw four of the top grossing sales months in all Kasa company history. In 2018 Kasa Companies sold Kasa Fab, so Shawn was welcomed in at Kasa Controls and Automation as the Grain Automation Sales Representative. Shawn brings more than a “can-do” attitude and mechanical aptitude to his role as our Grain Industry sales representative. Early in his career at Kasa, Shawn also worked as a harvest employee at Mid-Kansas Coop for eight summers, probing, sampling, dumping, running the scale and monitoring the conveyance system. With this background and recent further training on the capabilities of Kasa to provide full controls and automation to grain facilities, Shawn is ready to discuss automation needs with any grain facility planning or location manager from greenfield to existing site automation.
