Mike Stoker leads the U.S. EPA’s efforts in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, the Pacific islands and 148 tribal nations. Mike has spent his career serving the public and working as an attorney specializing in agriculture, labor, land use and environmental law. Recently, he served as director of government affairs for UnitedAg, the second largest agricultural association in California. He was a member of Santa Barbara County’s Board of Supervisors from 1986-1994, chairman of the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board from 1995-2000, and California deputy secretary of state from 2000-2002. In addition, Mike served on the Southern California Hazardous Waste Management Board of Directors from 1990-1994, as chairman of the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments from 1991-1993, and as chairman of the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District from 1992-1994. Mike received his Bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from the University of California at Berkeley and his Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
