Valerie Spicer brings more than 35 years of gaming experience to Trilogy, with this experience in governmental affairs, business, economic development, and Tribal gaming; Trilogy is uniquely positioned to leverage business driven solutions for business to business opportunities in Indian country. As Executive Director of AIGA, Spicer managed the day-to-day operation of an organization that represents 19 of 22 Tribes in Arizona. During her tenure, she took the lead in charting a course to move the tribal government gaming industry in Arizona forward while also fiercely protecting it from competition. Spicer was CEO of Gaming Strategies Group where she promoted business development with Tribal enterprises, governments and consulted Tribal and individually-owned businesses. She was also Vice President and General Manager at Borrego Springs Bank in San Diego, California, for 5 years. Under the Viejas Band of the Kumeyaay Nation, Borrego Springs bank became a leader in tribal financial services by providing business development and public relations services to Viejas Enterprises. Spicer’s work across several industries has been recognized nationally over the last decade. Most recently, in 2013, Spicer was named by the Arizona Business Magazine as one of the “50 Most Influential Business Women” in Arizona. In 2011, Spicer was named a “Great Woman of Gaming”, Proven Leader, by Casino Enterprise Management Magazine. In 2004, she was named one of the “Top 25 People to Watch” by Global Gaming Magazine. Spicer is proud of her Mescalero Apache and Hispanic heritage. She is a Board Member for TFA Capital Partners, and Advisory Board Member for the National Council on Problem Gambling.
