Michael McFarlen has been active in the foodservice industry for over 35 years and joined FireKeeper’s Casino Hotel as a day one team member in 2009. He is currently Vice President of Food and Beverage and oversees the day to day operation of all restaurants, banquets, stewarding and bars within the property. McFarlen is also in charge of various other outside projects including a philanthropic greenhouse on Pine Creek Reservation, The Fire Hub restaurant in Battle Creek and The Kendall Street Pantry. Mike has held executive positions with MGM Grand Hotel and Casinos, Ameristar Resorts and Casinos, Atlantis Paradise Island as well as The Detroit Yacht Club. McFarlen graduated from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in 1988 and continues to be actively involved with the school thru various proStart programs and continuing education initiatives. Mike currently serves as Chairman of the Board for The Food Bank of South Central Michigan as well as serving as a member on The Calhoun County Trail Association board and the Albion Redevelopment Corporation board as well.
