Mark has over 20 years of experience as an attorney representing American Indian Tribes across the United States. He works on behalf of Tribal governments on internal governance issues, as well as in the development of a variety of economic enterprises including cannabis, gaming, and Tribal lending. Mark represents three Tribes who have been central to the initial efforts of CNACA, the California Native American Cannabis Association. He has been an active part of CNACA's efforts to provide Tribes with legal access to the California commercial cannabis market, has negotiated Tribal-State cannabis agreements in Nevada, and has assisted in drafting federal cannabis legislation to address issues of importance to Tribes. Mark also provides pro bono legal assistance to several indigenous spiritual organizations.
