Dr. Bill Wall is a thirty year veteran of the cable industry. Currently a Principal at Cox Communications, he previously was a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco and Chief Scientist at Scientific Atlanta. Bill has been pioneer and innovator in the transition to digital video and IPTV for the cable industry. A generalist, educated in Physics, he has contributed in a wide variety of subjects from video and audio coding, to modulation, protocol design, system analysis and design. Most recently he has participated in the development of DOCSIS 3.1 and FDX specifications, and the transition to remote PHY architectures. Bill has been awarded 18 patents and participated in teams that have won three Technical Emmys.
